Organisational Overview:
PBI is a non-governmental organisation, registered in the USA, which protects human rights and promotes nonviolent conflict transformation. We provide protection, capacity building and other support for threatened organisations, defenders and communities pursuing social justice and defence of human rights in areas of violent conflict. Our current field projects are in Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras, Kenya, Indonesia, Mexico and Nepal, with a short term project in Costa Rica focused on supporting exiled Nicaraguan human rights defenders (HRDs) starting this fall.
PBI project work is supported by a network of 13 country groups in Europe, North America and Australia, who carry out volunteer recruitment, advocacy and fundraising, and by the international coordinating office, where this role is based.
Program Coordinator Role:
PBI is looking for a two Co-Coordinators to lead a project to support exiled Nicaraguan HRDs in Costa Rica. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for project planning and implementation, coordination with external stakeholders, workshop facilitation, and represent the project within PBI and externally.
Project Management Coordinator Role:
PBI is looking for a two Co-Coordinators to lead a project to support exiled Nicaraguan HRDs in Costa Rica. The Project Management Coordinator will be responsible for managing the project budget, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements, donor relations (including fundraising), and overseeing project administration.
